Guide For New Players

Kit - All you need to start playing for Central F.C. is a pair of football boots and some shin pads but you might want to wear a T-shirt, shorts and long socks as well.

Training - A training session will normally involve some warm up exercises, some skill training and then a game at the end.
Training starts at 10.30 - If you are late you might have to do the warm ups on your own so it is best to get there 5 mins early.
Your manager/coach will be (or will soon be) a qualified coach who has passed a special exam.

Age Groups - Use this table to work out which age group you will be in - normally everyone in your year in school will be in the same age group.

Girls - Girls of all ages are welcome at Central. Up to the age of Under 11s the teams are mixed boys and girls - after that you can join one of our girls teams.

Matches - You will play matches against other clubs although you might not be able to play in every game because we quite often have too many people signed up to play them all.
Some games will be away and you will have to travel to play on a different pitch - some in Exeter, some further away in East Devon. Sometimes you will play in a tournament which means a whole day away.

Medicine - If you are unlucky enough to have to use an inhaler you must remember to bring it with you to training and matches - your manager is not allowed to let you play if you forget it.
